About
Welcome Note
Visiting a small business (or even exploring their website) to me feels like being invited inside someone's home (sans the taking off shoes part). These small businesses fill our streets, and homes with their offerings - they are the colorful threads that create the community's, and each of our interwoven stories.
For these reasons (and these feelings), creating a platform to showcase local talent in a way that easily connects consumers with such stories is our mission at Coimatan. Welcome!
Vasiliki, Founder & Creative Director of Coimatan
What We Do
Founded in early 2020, Coimatan is a creative studio in Twin Cities showcasing small businesses. Started by a local Minnesotan passionate about brick-and-mortar shops, we create product and experiential offerings to connect consumers with small businesses.
Central to our mission is also to provide an easy and accessible-to-all platform that highlights small business services - within this platform, we are excited to offer bundled gift cards for purchase by consumers.
Let's Eat.Shop.Live Local, together.
“‘I think people want to shop local and they don’t know where to begin,’ said Katie Koster, who runs the gift store Digs at 38th & Grand...Her regular customers have continued to shop with her, but she thinks Coimatan’s efforts have helped reach some new clientele and that by bringing a large group of retailers together, the campaign has a stronger voice,’” writes Andrew Hazzard of the Southwest Journal.
